She also lectured Colour: Understanding the Deception at The National Gallery and Somerset House and published a book of the same name. Felix runs an art organisation called Ultra Kolor that creates socially engaged visual art projects centred around marginalised inner city communities and young people. This takes the form of murals, marketing campaigns, youth work, installations, animations and exhibitions “This years theme of ‘Home’ is a particularly evocative one, and I am looking forward to seeing how artists interpret their ideas, experiences and emotions associated with the topic. Home is an idea that transcends different planes: physical, emotional, mental and spiritual; I am particularly interested in artworks that broaden some of our more traditional perspectives of what a home is, what it brings up for us on an individual level and its impact on collective experiences.” Nimrod Vardi is the creative director and founder of arebyte (Est.2013), an arts charity dedicated to art and technologies and recent Arts Council England NPO; Arbeit Studios (Est.2010), a creative workspace provider with over 300 Studio spaces across London; and Spacecraft (Est.2018), a community-led placemaking consultancy specialising in commercial and cultural activation. “I have a particular interest in media and time based work (video, digital, etc) and performance based work and am hoping that non-traditional artists submit their work as well as traditional artists.”
